Chive compared to Strut and cut

I bought my dad a Blackie Collins Strut and Cut a while ago and he really loves it, I like it too, it's a very cool little knife. I will be getting a Chive shortly and just wondered how it will compare. Can anyone tell me which one is smoother or faster? Which one do you like better, cause I may have to get a Chive for my dad too.

Oh man, you're talking NO comparison here! The S&C is a POS. Dangerous too, with the way the blade on it slams back into the handle. If any digits are in the way, better prepare to see the nurses in the local ER ;) The Chive is a much better design, and better looking knife. Easier to carry too. the S&C is too fat and "blocky". Chive is easier to open as well.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Mr. Ewing took the words right out of my and the other hundred people's mouths you're going to hear from.

Well I know what this means now, I am definately going to have to shell out another 50 or 60 bucks for another chive for my dad. Hey thanks for the info.

I own several "assisted opening" folders from Meyerco, Timberline and Kershaw. By far the best hands down are the Kershaw Onions. Im my opinion, the Kershaws are better in quality, workmanship and safety than either Meyerco or Timberline.
