Chive on sale at WalyWorld Online

Unless you live in the sticks with the hicks you actually have to visit your big city WallyWorld to find the Spyderco Native. The Portland, OR area WMs are chock-a-block with these fine knives. #60 is their inventory number at the knife counter.

I have three perfect specimen Natives on my desk as I type, ready to be Christmas wrapped.

Check the discontinued counter, sometimes hard to find, for deals. Found a $30 Leek, no box & no paperwork.

Best,

Oregon

Well I wouldn't think I live in the sticks, or at least the town I go to for Wally World isn't. They don't have anything from Spyderco from what I can see. Maybe I should just ask instead of stare across the counter(at the knives, not the old man). I have found a Leek w/ no box or anything, but they'll just take 10% off.. Tightwads!! :D

I negotiated, for the Leek, with the counter man who went to the manager who said no to my $25 offer. $30 was as low as she would go. She did have a handheld device that gave her the inventory of Natives at other WMs in the area. With a glance at her gadget she could tell me which stores had how many Spyderco Natives. Very impressive tool, gracious and competent staff. Alternatively, call area WMs and ask for the item #60 inventory at the sporting goods counter. Don't take no for an answer. Some store personnel are unaware of Spyderco Natives (a very recent addition, last few weeks, to their knife offerings).

All the best,

oregon

Ask to speak to the sporting goods manager, or the assistant manager who oversees the sporting goods manager, or, if they're giving you the run around, ask to see the store manager. The managers probably got some literature on the Natives, and the sporting goods managers usually know what they're selling.

I'm just wondering why everyone here calls Wal Mart, Wally World? No one calls it that in my area and it confused me when people spoke of Wally World and I had no clue that they were talking about Wal Mart. :)

The first time I heard it was some WM store managers and the regional manager discussing the joy of working at Walmart, like it was a day at Disney World.

They were making jest, of course.;)

i went to my local walmart, talked to the gun/knife guy, he hadnt heard anything about spyderco's ever being in the stores, though the chive was marked down to $25 in store as well, tempting but its a lil small for me
