OK, Aesthetically, there is nothing uglier than cho creep on a khukuri with a traditional bolster and long handle. The long handle really seems to accentuate it for some reason. My other jange has the same size bolster and the same amount of creep, but it's nowhere near as noticable.

That being out of the way, this (the 20" 30 oz.) Jange has great balance and swings like it was made for fighting. It's quicker and more responsive than my 22" 30 oz. Chitlangi in that regard. It's more neutrally balanced than the other jange which is more choppy.

It has a long comfortable handle and fit and finish is great. The forged Sword of Shiva is twin, well defined, lines extending nearly to the tip (about 1.5" short). There is kind of a wave in the center of the blade on each side, I'm not sure what it is.

I'll be able to field test tomorrow. I can't wait, I have the feeling that this will be a mean chopper.

The Jange is a Khukuri I've been trying to find information on. It took all I had not to buy the one available on the forums today.

I got the one yesterday, and I can't wait to swing it. Mine is 24 oz. I'll post pics when it arrives and review it for y'all. Gotta say that when I got my 18" GRS I was suprised to see how much cho creep it had. I thought it made the knife ugly and I would maybe give it as a gift. Boy has it grown on me. First of all its a heavy knife, and to do light cuts I choke up to behind the cho. It's really comfortable that way, and it makes light cuts and slicing kinda dreamy. So now I've got mixed feelings about cho creep. Try it out and let us know how it feels. You are making me excited about mine already.

My Jange had a long and complicated story behind it. Needless to say, when I finally started using it, I was impressed. Mine is one of the older partial tangs and is not pinned, but seems to be sturdy enough. I consider it (if mine is any example) to be one of the more underrated khukuris produced by HI. 20" is a little longer than I like when I'm out and about but for a point A to point B khuk, it works very well. It's one of the very few khukuris that I own that both clears brush and chops wood efficiently. That, in my eyes, is a big plus.

Besides that, it's very easy on the eye. Definitely one of my more attractive khukuris. And who said you can't have your cake and eat it too?

I think part of the appeal of this design (to me) is the length/weight ratio. I believe that the necessary compromise between size/weight and performance wouldn't be as favorable if it were shorter, and might not be good if it were longer either. 20" give or take seems just about right to me. An inch or two longer at a comparable weight might be better, but honestly, I'm pretty happy with mine as is. I can't comment on the balance of the newer full tang versions but if their balance is similar to the earlier ones, I'd imagine that it's an improvement.

Mine has a bit of a "weapony" feel to it as well. Yours may or may not. I consider that to be a good thing.
