I was wondering about how many different types of cho there are. I can recall at least three--the dove-eye on the Chainpuris, the standard on the BAS or AK, and the style that is found on the Salyans. What are the stories behind them and are there any special meanings?

Pakcik Bill.
  1. Chainpuri Dove-Eye Cho = Pariwa Ki Aka.
  2. The Standard BAS Cho = Kowdi @ Surya Ra Chandra.
  3. Slyan Cho = ?[/list=a]Is there any Nepali name give to Salyan Cho Pakcik Bill?

There is another that looks like the French fluer di lis )sp). And the Indian khukuris have a standard cho but heavier spike. I have seen a few other variations. But the three mentioned are the most common -- Salyan style being much less common, though.

Stories about meanings? Too many to get into.
