Hellow!!!
I am going to buy another folder this weekend and I need help on what you think I should buy???:jerkit:

These are my options:

Spyderco stretch 2
Kershaw junk yard dog in sg2 blade.
superhawk
emerson bushman.

Well, I own the CF Stretch and the JYD II Titanium with SG2.

Tough choice because they are different animals.

$138 + Shipping - The JYD is certainly bigger and a wider blade profile. The action is nice. They disassemble VERY easily. Frame Lock, solid lockup, solid titanium scales. Not as light as I expected it would feel. No thumb stud, just flipper. This makes one handed closing a little tougher than with a thumb stud. Tip down only. Lanyard hole but I really don't like lanyards in my pocket. I prefer them on tip up knives hanging out. Sharp as a razor blade when sharpened properly and stropped.

$172 + shipping - CF Stretch - Awesome carry size and very thin. Backlock but with nice action. Backlock can make the action feel tight, especially on small knives like the Caly 3. Backlocks are also difficult to close one handed but the Stretch can be done using the index finger in the thumb hole while depressing the lock with the thumb. The Stretch can be whipped open with a little thumb action if needed. Light. Tip up carry with lanyard hole. A better EDC knife IMHO. Sharp as a razor if sharpened properly and stropped. I love ZDP-189.

Between my two I'd choose the Stretch for light to medium duty EDC.

Umm, you just described a Para-Military-Stretch hybrid. Do you own both knives or something?

Corrected :)

I'd still like to know if you own both knives :D That's an interesting mix up either way! :)

If you do own both knives, which do you prefer, might I ask? They seem to be fairly similar in terms of materials and size, but are designed for different purposes I suppose.

For Spydercos I only own a CF S90V Military. CF Stretch II, Sage, CF Cally 3 and two Bob Lum Chinese Folders. And please don't ask me to choose my favorite amongst these Spydercos :) I doubt I could, honestly.

However I really enjoy the Sage because it is such a value for a super ergonomic knife with Carbon Fiber scales, S30V and top build quality. For about $85 it rocks. Don't let the Taiwan word fool you. I'm going to buy a second one today to stash so I have a NIB before they change the lock design. I've been carrying the one I have for about a week now and I love it.
