With the reputation of these blades being so tough that you could hack at a metal table leg without seriously harming the edge, I was wondering what you would choose to carry to maintain the edge on these knives out in the field. Thanks.

I keep a small diamond hone/stone in the pouch. then again, I'm not in the field much, if ever. Hell, if I wore it to work, the people in the human resources department would be really scared of me then (the HK mug already pushes them over the edge!)

My boss bought me a mug thet reads "Don't piss me off! I'm running out of places to hide the bodies." When I worked at the front desk it was always out.

I carry and use my SPYDERCO sharpmaker. Doesn't take up too much space is not too heavy and realy does a great sharpening job. Much better that any hand held system. I think it is worth the extra space it does take up. Also I do not have to reprofile the edge all over again after I mess it up with a hand held sharpener.
