Choiled and Half ramped my BK7

Just showin off some mods!

I ground the finger guard down to follow the lines of the scales. I cut a choil in but then the thumb ramp was in the way so I ground that down half way. Might flatten it out but ill decide after some use.

Excellent job on the choil. Did the same to my BK7 the first day I got it. Did the thumb ramp bother you? It didn't seem to bug me while I was chopping the other day. Seen a bunch cut it down. I think it looks cool. If it digs into my finger it'll come off, but until then.

It wouldnt get in the way for chopping because I hold it near the end of the handle. When I am actually using the choil for finer stuff it when the ramp got in the way. Just felt awkward.

I didnt think I liked them either until I tried in on my BK9. I dont like the big choils so these are perfect.

Thanks guys. That "patina" is an etch done with gun blue and bleach. Search for it, Clich did a how to thread on how to do it. Pretty simple but since its an etch it is permanent!
