Well, as you know, i recently bought a Dremel 4000 tool & a boatload of accessories, to do modifications to my blades. I am lovin' it bigtime. I will get better with it in time, i have no doubt. I did'nt have the time to do a perfect job, although a few came out really good, but they are ALL super functional. They now have character to be sure & they are the way I want them. So, I jimped the WartHog, 2 Remora BK13's, BK11, BK14, BK2, BK9, Ontario 12" D-handled machete, & my Condor Boomslang. I also choiled the Ontario 12" machete & modified/removed most of the D-handle. So as i said, certainly NOT perfection, but i like them all. The BK2 i started to TRY to jimp with some files quite a while ago, that did NOT have the desired results, so i made them MUCH more functional, but they look kinda bad.

BK9 was choiled & jimped about 2 3/4" from high spot in thumb ramp, down the spine.

Condor Boomslang was factory choiled & i jimped it about 3 3/16" down the spine.

I really like the grip now for my thumb. I hope you enjoy. I am REALLY lovin that Ontario machete now. I think i will do it to my 18" bladeed Ontario as well. I used only 1 of the Dremel Easy Loc cutoff wheel to do all the jimping & it is showing almost no wear. I used 1 grinding wheel to do the choil on the BK9 & the machete, it now has quite a groove in it but is still functional.

I just bought a Dremel with abunch of add-ons, and a set of files also so I'll be modding my Beckers soon aswell. I havn't had the courage to actually take them to my Beckers yet, but I've been testing them out on some cheap knives and pieces of metal I have laying around. You seem like you're getting very comfortable with your's, and hopefully I will too so I can eventually show off some pictures of Beckers after their mods. Nice job, man.

Making your blades truely your own by modifying them is not only enjoyable but also gives you something unique. The best way to get exactly what you want in a modification is to measure twice (or more) and cut once. A good solid mounting for your blade will help. I modify C.S.tomahawks and have tried my hand at modding my Beckers and steadiness, measuring, marking and methodical execution yields the best results. So go for it and have fun.

Dang dude! You are a jimpin fool! Good stuff. Keep up the good work!

Negative. Twinstick's new name is Jimp Pimp. :p

Thanks for all the kind words. I wish i had the money to take them to a machine shop & have them done professionally, but i don't. I really like the 90 degree angle for grip. I tried the small chainsaw sharpening stones on a scrap piece of metal & they did'nt feel that grippy to me.

I love it now. At first i thought the dimples on the handle would be too aggressive, but i was wrong. I REALLY like it. Hurricane Irene could'nt get that sucker to slip outta my hand now.
Thanks for the kind words.
