Hi there. I’ve noticed a lot of threads and videos showing how to make a hamon. But very few info I can find that talks about or even shows how to apply the clay to get specific types of hamons. I’ve been working with w2 steel and water quenching. Cracked a few blades learning but getting better and more success with them. I’m trying to get a choji style hamon. The 2 best blades and latest to date had hamons that come out looking more like a jagged edge mountain range line, not the choji hamon I was hoping for. Can anyone explain what Ian doing wrong?

I would post pictures, but don’t know how to load them on here

How do you upload pictures on here?

You'll need to upgrade to Gold status to post directly from your device, or use a picture hosting service like postimages.org which will generate a code ("hotlink for forums") you can copy and paste to your message here. Quick and easy once you get the hang of it.
