Hi there. I’ve noticed a lot of threads and videos showing how to make a hamon. But very few info I can find that talks about or even shows how to apply the clay to get specific types of hamons. I’ve been working with w2 steel and water quenching. Cracked a few blades learning but getting better and more success with them. I’m trying to get a choji style hamon. The 2 best blades and latest to date had hamons that come out looking more like a jagged edge mountain range line, not the choji hamon I was hoping for. Can anyone explain what Ian doing wrong?
