I received my chokwe today. First time handling one. One thing I noticed is the thumb hole and the edges on the spine of the blade feels really sharp/rough on the fingers. The f&f on every other part is completely smooth and beautiful tho. Anyone else experience this as well with their chokwe's or is it just me?

No, everything on my Chokwe is finished amazingly and smooth as silk.
It's a great knife though no matter what.
If you wrote Spyderco I'm sure they can answer questions and maybe even fix it if that's truly needed.
No two knives are exactly the same. So ours won't be exact twins.

Mine aren't super smooth but they're not sharp either. You could try taking a round file to the hole to smooth it down a bit.

DO NOT use a round file to the Syyderhole. I did this to a Dragonfly a couple years ago. I filed a little too much and my thumb wouldn't stay in the Spyderhole.

Ruined the knife as far as I'm concerned.

I have a Chokwe. Mine is great. If the Spyderhole is a little sharp.....you need to toughen up your thumb.

Just take a small piece of 400 or 600 wet/dry paper to it. That will smooth the edge but not in a visible manner.

Mine is great. Right now it is my current favorite folder. Super sharp and extremely smooth, buttery opening. No blade play or wiggle of any kind.
