Well, it's summertime and the watermelons are abundant. So, I was out of the kitchen away from all the common knives I'd use for the task. Then, thought why not use the B10 LE for the task at hand.

Yummy..

Wimpy chop, did not want to go all the way thru into the plastic cutting board or table.

Hmm now that you totally de-valued that knife let me be of some service. Even though you basically trashed it you are a forum member of good standing. I will PP you 50 bucks for that right now. Otherwise its a total loss.

On a serious note you need to hollow one of those out and insert some.....good cheer spirits...let sit fer a few days...then invite me and some other hogs over as well. Dancing girls a MUST.

Then we can all end up lookin like my Sig Pig below.

Rob

Well looks like its already spiked since auto correct killed my title. Mumbojumbo was supposed to say choilless.

Oh well....

Spiked watermelon and some like-minded friends enjoying the dancing girls sounds like fun to me. Let's plan in for Atlanta Blade 2013.

All are invited to attend, especially the dancing girls.

Very nice!!!!! Perfect watermelon knife! Hmmm, hungry for watermelon now...

It beats the heck out of those "knives" that have a watermelon paint job, no doubt. A lot more fun too.

Your MOAB would be a hoot to try on a melon or two. Might not produce very uniform pieces, but think of the fun. Then again, it might excell as a melon chopper, IDK.

That's funny - I did the same thing the other day with a BWM. I was real tempted to give it one good whack and then I decided my wife might get upset if I damaged the cutting board. :)

No kidding, a good whack would have caused some unwanted muss n fuss. A firm grip and light chopping motion got in, then light pressure pushed the rest of the cut through the melon.

It's fun.

Yeah wives get unreasonable about leaving a big cut mark on the cutting board. It is a cutting board what do they expect. I chopped one of those big 3inch jawbreakers in half with my hell razor and wife had a fit about the half inch deep cut in the board. Go figure.

Need2Know - Busse knife pics are always exciting. The B10 is probably competent at a lot of kitchen tasks.

I think the Basic 10 Choiless is awesome. Here's mine with his new little buddy.
