Hi there,

From the first Laguiole knife arrived my hand, I added French traditional knife in my list, now I am about to choose next Le Thiers knife.
At the place I am living, only 1 local dealer sells Claude Dozorme knives, for the rest French brands, I have to order online.
So I wanted to ask if Claude Dozorme a well-known brand? If so, I wanted to try, otherwise, I rather make online order such as: Chambriard, Fotenille Pataud.

Kindly share your inputs, thanks.
(I posted similar topic 2 years ago but didn't get clear answer to Claude Dozorme this brand).

I don't have any experience with Claude Dozorme but they show up occasionally in discussions here. Hopefully someone who has one will chime in with their input.

I too have never handled a Dozorme, but I do have a Chambriard Le Thiers and it is excellent knife. Great F&F. As I'm sure you know, a level up, is Fontenille-Pataud. I own several of them (but not the Le Thiers) and they are magnificent. So, while I cannot speak to Dozorme, I can highly recommend going with either Chambriard or Fontenille-Pataud.

Dozorme is a well known brand. I currently have a modern take on a thiers pattern, good fit and finish.
The other makers mentioned are good.
I would also look at forge de laguiole they are built solid. T12 stainless takes a good edge.

I bought this one a few years back.
It's more of a modern interpretation of a classic Laguiole, but the build quality is decent.
I've never held one of their classic Laguiole knives.
