I know John likes to post these kind of threads but I'll throw one out there.

If money was no object which JK product would you choose, past or present design?

I say product because ever since missing out on a JK Spike Hawk off the exchange, I can't quit thinking about how fun it would be to play around with. I don't have the money to spend on it, and it wouldn't get used as frequently as my knives but I still want one. At one of the MI gatherings I keep picking up Andy's DBH, it was fun to chop with, and did double duty as a steak flipper! Anyway, the Spike Hawk would be my choice at the moment.

If money was no object what one production knife would you choose?

I've never spent over about $75 for a folding knife, but recently I've been looking at a few ZT knives. I like the looks of the 550 and the soon to be released 566. The Ritter Griptlians have caught my attention also. In picking one I'd go with the 550.

So, let's hear what you'd like.

JK product:

Since I have a DBH on order, I would probably go with a Kepzilla or Hudson Bay XL. A significant amount of my knife use is chopping, and it would be great to do that with a JK blade.

Production:

I have been admiring Ritter Griptilians for a while, and am very greatly anticipating the release of the ZT 0566. I would also like to own a genuine Hinderer knife at some point.

ETA: I did a pretty poor job of picking one,:D but if I had to choose, it would be a HBXL and a ZT 0566.

zero tolerance is probably the best bang for the buck folder out there right now imo. they have a killer warranty and customer service with awesome designs made with high end materials. I have 2 and love them.

I would like to own another phoenix and I am planning on ordering one of those pairing knives just made a bit longer blade.

Ky if you would like to play with a spike hawk you can borrow mine for a few weeks. it's a bit different as it's the spike hawk max. 14 inches total vs the normal 12 I believe and it has a bit bigger head. it's a freaking beast though.

I'll play :)

JK Product:

not an easy call, i "need" nothing and want so many, but if we're talking no limitations and money no object then I'd go with a JK Locking folder, got close once, but lost out :( possible and money no object? then probably the Canadian belt knife. If I could make one up? A JK slipjoint or lockback knife, yeah, I said it, :)

Production:

going through one of my "knife crisis at the moment where I can't decide what I want to keep and get rid of (am i a modern folder or traditional guy, should i stick with saks or scout knives, should i just have a sodbuster or just keep a stockman etc etc) but I've been craving another GEC 68 White Owl with Bail for a while now and the urge is only getting stronger.

:D

fun game, thanks KY

JK knife would be a Wharncliffe folder.
Production knife would be a Hogue EX-02.

JK Product - I personally know him, he`s kind of a jerk, so none!

Production - a new Buck 124.

I'll play too, even though I don't have my first JK yet.

For a JK knife with no cost limit it would probably be the Beast. Looks like a great chopper with enough weight behind the edge to do some serious damage.

For a production knife (not sure if it's folder's only or any production knife) I'd say a CRK Sebenza for a folder or a Randall #25 Trapper for a fixed.

LOBO XL for a JK.

And a Rust Red Bone,2 blade(clip main)GEC Huckleberry Boys Knife for a production folder.
I've been looking for a decent Craftsman Barlow too,but they are long out of production.

I would like a Potowatomie in INFI to go with the one I have.

As for production, I would like to try a Hinderer.
