Im looking for a neck knife, but not sure which one. I do not really care to much about the price. I am thinking about RAT Izula, Fehrman thru hiker, Spartan enyo, and open to other ideas. I do not want anything really outside the styles of those already listed. The blade length around 3" and over all around 6.5" to 7" .

Emerson Le Griffe would be excellent neck knife, but its blade design might be problem for you. RAT Izula is very good choice, though I hear you need to slightly reprofile its edge, after that it appareantly cuts like a demon. Ka-Bar BK-11 might be a good choice too, its a tad larger than Izula.

if you're looking in the izula $$$ area, why not go custom?
here's a bruce Culberson i had custom made. with scales, custom kydex and matching firesteel...pics:

sorta depends what you're wanting to use it for i suppose

That is one nice little knife Goatarriba, If you are looking at a factory knife ,look at the fallkniven WM1,its been my favorite for many years

+1 for the BK-11.
I'm sure the Izula is a fine knife, but I can't speak to that because I don't own one. The BK-11, though? I couldn't be happier with mine. It's a staple in my fixed blade EDC rotation (it... or a Bark River.) The only problem I had with mine was that the out-of-the-box edge, though respectable in terms of sharpness, was anything but symmetrical. I've reprofiled it twice now (once V, once convex) and there is still a tiny section towards the tip which was ground far too steep and doesn't hit quite right during sharpening.

Another option would be customs. I've seen some damn fine looking neckers for sale by maker down in the Exchange for under $100.

yeah the custom world would be good to look into. The only thing is I dont buy anything that does not have a positive backing by people. I like the horton necker, looks good. I looked at the bruce culberson knives and I like them but want to look a bit more before desiding. I see all the reviews over the Izula, but what about the fehrman and spartan?

Thats cool man. I wouldn't rush to buy, get what you think is best for you.

I like the Enyo, but only because tons of people have Izulas (not that Izulas are bad; I love them). But, if you want to be different, get an Enyo.

You might look at the Cold Steel K4 neck knives. They appear very useful and are very inexpensive. I have an Izula, but IMO it is too big and hefty to use for a neck knife.:D

I had about 4 neck knives including a custom. When I got my Izula, it just became "The EDC". There are lots of alternatives and if you like scales, it really is better to get a thin scaled knife. However, the Izula as a skeletal blade is damn hard to beat on a price/performance/ergo basis.

I have two now!

There is a guy on YouTube/KF/iKC who started off making some semi-customs from a cheap friction folder. The design became popular enough that the mfg of the friction folder worked with him to make a full tang version to his specs and he now sells them in a number of variations... including a necker. They aren't the prettiest thing you will ever see, but the price is more than reasonable. If memory serves, the skeletonized version will run you about $25-30 shipped. You can learn more about these on his YouTube account or over at iKC in his usergroup.
