Choosing a sheath for HRLM...

Very excited to be getting my first swamp rat! But to get to where I can be giving it some good use, have to worry about sheathing now...

I don't have much knowledge about all of the different sheathing options out there, and I'm hoping that you all can point me in the right direction for my HRLM. The overarching consideration is that I want something that is as tough as the knife is. I'm thinking that I would tend towards something rigid. I must be able to attach it very securely to a belt, and comfort while hiking is also a must.

Other than that, it would be nice to have something that can be attached to different belts/backpacks/etc. in different ways (maybe some sort of adjustable attachment system ... I have seen some that seem to have clips that can be manipulated ... but again, I want it to be very durable). I'd like to be able to attach it to a military sized web belt, but also to a more conventionally sized belt. A bonus would be a loop for a 3/8'' ferro rod. Pouches for other small gear might be a bonus if they work well with the design, but not necessary, and I would probably place low profile (so I could throw the sheathed knife in a pocket or wear around the neck) as higher priority. So I don't want a ton of stuff hanging off the sheath.

If you can include an estimate of price for any recommendations, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a fan of leather sheaths. Leatherman does a great one for the HRLM. Plus it bends when you move. That's what I don't like about kydex. You shift around and get stabbed by plastic. Leather gives and shifts with you, without being unsecure or floppy.

I was looking at his site the other day but wasn't able to get any clue for price range or how you might actually select and order one.

Martin offer so many options for sheaths that it's very hard to give any clue: kydex, kydex + leather, vertical/horizontal carrying, firesteel loop, pouch... Just send a mail to Martin with the type of sheath you'd like and he will give you more information.

I can make you one or there are some at the company store
