Choosing between Endura and Rescue jr.

I'm planing to get a plain Deleca98 and a serrated edge knife. I'm looking at the Enduras and the Rescues (the jr. size). The Delica would be a daily carry utility/last-ditch-defense knife while the serrated one would be carried on hikes and such where I would also have my Buck 110 folder.

The only other serrated knife I have/use is a bread knife so I think of sawing as the main use of these type knifes. That being the case, would the Rescue be a bit 'safer' as its sheeps foot design would greatly reduce the chance of stabbing something (me) when sawing? The clip point of the Buck 110 should perform all duties that require such a pointed blade so I'm thinking the Rescue would be a good compliment to it.

I think given your parameters, the Rescue would fit the bill.

But beware, after using the clip knife, you may want to retire that 110.

I wrote a review of the Kasper AFCK variant, an interview of Bob Kasper, and some thoughts and brainstorms of the AFCK in general. It can be found in the Reviews Section. Check it out and tell me what you think.

With the Spyderco serrations you can slice very well on most materials and sawing back and forth is really not necessary. Depends on the materials and how sharp the blade is though. The Sharpmaker makes resharpening serrations pretty easy once the serrations do get dull.
