Hello,
I need a help. One of my family members came to me with request for help with choosing folding knife. Unfortunatelly after I heard his
requirements I realised I can´t help him. Here are some of them:
  1. It should be an EDC usable knife with blade lenght of about 3-4inches
  2. It should have pocket clip but sheath would be acceptable too
  3. price level would be about 20-50 dollars
  4. and first of two last but most importent features: at least part of handles must be wooden (ideally most of them)
  5. and the other most important feature is flipper. I don´t think any A/O system is really necessary but would be great bonus for one hand opening. But the plipper is definitely one of two necessary features.
I accept as many suggestions as you can think of.
Thank you

I cant think of anything off the top off my head with both wood scales and a flipper at least in that price range. I know you can put custom scales on alot of knives i have seen a kershaw skyline with wood but its not a factory option

Buck vantage OR:
A CRKT Hammond Cruiser!!! You can find these for $20 or so if you look in the right places. I got one for $25 at the Academy Sports & Outdoors in College Station TX about a year ago. This knife is SMOOOOOOTH. Blade is 8Cr13MOV if I remember right.... CRKT stole it away when I sent it in for repairs... The handle is improperly threaded to accept the clip for LH, tip up or down carry! Great knife for righties though, wish I still had mine.

The Buck vantage avid would be the best option, but Browning makes a folder called the "fast task" that looks ok and would probably be acceptable to non knife or light use types.

Benchmade's Lone Wolf Swale fit's all your criteria, and made in the U.S.A :D

Edit: Ok so I misread the flipper criteria...but still a good choice

CRKT M# series they are excellent

that or a Rat 1 or 2, but it doesnt have a flipper

personally i would go for a Spyderco tenacious or persistence, even though it has a lack of flipper they are amazing knives...... i love my spyderco

Buck Vantage Avid is the only knife I can think of, and that has been mentioned so far, that actually meets the OP's criteria of wood scales, flipper, and 20-50 dollar price range.
