Choosing My Next Knife

Hello, I have a really tough choice to make with the next knife I'm getting. I'm choosing between a Brain Tighe Tighe Coon with a warrior tanto blade, a Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 21 with snakewood inlays, and a George Muller LL SS. If you don't know what these are, google them. I only can get one knife like this every half to 3/4 of a year or so, so it's difficult for me to choose the one I think I will like best (even though they're all pretty awesome). Any thoughts?

If this is the George Muller you're talking about, then yes, I'd get it.

Personally, I've tried knives from a couple of South African knife makers, and everything about them has blown me away. I'd imagine George's knives will be pretty great too:thumbup:

You can't go wrong with a Sebenza or a Brian Tighe, but those knives are pretty common. The Muller may not be easy to come across once it's sold. Obviously Sebenzas are easy to find, and Brian's knives are pretty common on many custom knife websites.

The Muller doesn't seem to be rare, but more uncommon that the others. It may be something you'll regret not buying. If the flipping action on the Muller is anything like a knife by André Thorburn, you'll be extremely happy:thumbup:

I was thinking the same thing about rarity, and yes, that is the one I'm talking about. I'm not sure how the action is, but I at least know it's not bad judging from knifecenter's video on it. Thanks for the quick reply.

Go for it Brother! I was eyeing his work myself.

I'm pretty sure Knifecenter has a return policy, but I doubt you'll need to use it:)

If you get it, let us know how it is. I don't think I've seen his work discussed here much, if at all.

I still am not sure which one I will get, but something will arrive at my door probably in a couple weeks. I'll tell you about it and see if I can give you some pics, whatever it is.

I've narrowed it down to the Brain Tighe or George Muller. It's so difficult because both have the same price, different but awesome looks, the best kind of quality found from custom knifemakers, really good action, and unique things about them that are just so cool. The Tighe coon with its 3d machining, button lock flipper combo, and shark-like looks coming from that sweet warrior tanto blade vs classic African custom materials, style, and quality that the Muller has. I wish it was easier.

If you look closely at the Muller, the pivot is machined a little messy. That makes me want to go for the tighe coon.
