Chopped down a tree with my BK9!

I wanted to see if the 9 could handle a tree...............it can.

I just started hacking away so I forgot to get a picture of the tree before the 9 destroyed it.


I was so close, but it just wasn't falling and my arm was killing me.


Finally the tree gave in after a long struggle. That's the top half of the tree to the right.



That was a really decent workout and the BK9 is truly a one-of-a-kind beast! Even after that it's still just as sharp as the day I got it!

Good job! I once took out a 7" walnut, wasn't fun but it happened! And Beech is some tough stuff. :thumbup:

I just did this for fun it wasn't necessary.

I'm surprised that tree didn't just fall over out of sheer respect when the King was unsheathed.
The Niner is a beast for sure. Chopping stuff is fun!

I tried cutting down a tree with mine today. I didn't get very far at all. The tree won this time around.

Yep, 9's are pretty awesome. I used mine to baton about 10 or 12 branches from a live oak today. Live oak is some seriously tough wood but the king handled it. I was suprised that it was so much better at batoning than my ESEE Junglas. Haven't done any chopping yet but probably tomorrow after we eat. I'll post pics.

I think I am going to try this with a Spyderco Ladybug....I will see you all in about 30 years when I get through the tree! Ha ha
