Had to mod it. Had to. My carpal tunnel just will not suffer swinging such a tip-heavy blade. So I figured I'd cut the tip down like this and add the Habilis style baton anvil. Plus I convexed the heck out of it. Now it feels perfect!

Another plus side is now I have a Becker Kiridashi.

Nice work - looks like you knew what you wanted. Congratulations on the fine looking blade.

Whelp, looks like you get the prize for the first person to mod the 21 brother. Not sure what the prize is though. A very well modded 21? Nice work Tobes. Looks awesome dude..

You got some serious brass ones, tobiism. I love it! Of course, it might not be for me, but I applaud anyone who has the ballz to grind/cut some steel to make a knife their own. I will say that it looks pretty good, too.

Somebody over on BushcraftUSA said they couldnt see it through tapatalk either but when they went directly to the site they could see them. Weird.

Seen this on a bushcrafting type forum. I like this! I was really curious to see what the first mod would be. I'd say this is worth doing.

Thanks, it chops like it hasnt even been modified!

well, opinion is important :)

considering the fragile forward balance, and my requirement for mass over snap, this wouldn't work for me.

glad it works for you. now, fix that carpal tunnel :D

It must've been a photobucket issue. I saw them shortly after you posted.
I had problems with photobucket around midnight.

Good stuff Tobi...

Let the games begin!

Thanks guys, and don't despair Bladite with a good snap cut this thing is still brutal. Lol.
The carpal tunnel is on the list to get done. It's just tough being a plumber and owning my own business to take that much time out of work

Nice mod. As someone else said huge balls to do that. Looks good feels good thats what counts. I would have been sweating bullets.
