I need advice or recommendations for a field chopper. I currently carry the BHK Woodsman everywhere I go. I love the knife and use it for everything. I need a big chopper to store in my pack for bigger chores. Here are my thoughts for cutters:

Non BHK: BOB1 from Raker knives

I have several of his customs and they are great

BHK Lumberjack Toothpick

Leaning towards this because its a BHK but have no knowledge about how it works as a chopper?????

BHK Machete

Don't really think this serves as a chopper

Finally
A small Axe: Gransfors Bruks Mini Hatchet

SIDE NOTE: I SOMETIMES CARRY A GRANSFORS BRUKS SMALL FOREST AXE (DEPENDING ON SITUATION) AND LOVE IT. Really not sure about the usefulness of carrying a small hatchet

I also own a Becker BK2 but thinking something a little bigger.

Do you all have any suggestions or ideas for what would be a good chopper?

This fits in more with General than Traditional. Not much talk about "choppers" and "batonning" in here...

I'll second the niner!
That thing just needs to chop when in your hand!
I think it is pretty nimble too for its size, plus it came
shaving sharp. Very comfortable grips too. Sheath is not too
sexy though, if thats a bother to you.

Why not design exactly what you want and have me make it for you? If you give me some idea about size & materials I'd be glad to quote you a price.

Excellent idea, when given the choice, always chose custom.
