I love a big ol INFI chopper, but tend not to tote it much. I've held/owned/used the following:
5/16" straight handled Steel Heart
BME
1/4 SJ
3/16" SJ
ZTNO
E NO
Basic 9
SJ Tac
I loved them all, some I liked more than others. Just got my SJ Tac recently and it is by far one of the best feeling 6" Busse's I've ever held. I was wondering if anyone had used it to chop and if so how it compared to the knives listed above.
I'm looking for a great 6" chopper, because most of the places I camp/hike have signs posted restricting blade length to 6". So, as much as I loved the Basic 9 and the other larger blades, I'm trying to compromise on a 6" to stay legal and avoid any hassle.
I'm thinking that the SJ Tac may be the best chopper of the bunch, although the E series NO might be better, but to me it doesn't feel half as good in the hand and I doubt that it would cut/slice half as well either.
Again, would love to hear input from users.
