Yeah the DFLE is flat ground and bits deep, I thinned the edge out on the FFBM and I NEEDED a lanyard as it started to slip. The most comfortable? Might have to go to the Dog Father as it really absorbed the blows. I have played with them individually but this is the first time I took my regulars out to compare. I like the HI for de-limbing and one swipe work but as I chopped with it my hand slipped alot and it almost came back on me. May have been technique but I MUCH prefered the Busse. The CGFBM was a good compromise to all of them and is my standing favorite for weight, bite and all around use. The FF is heavy and is really a true chopper imho. If I had to have a jack of all trades chopper to me it would be between the DFLE and the CGFBM. But darn that resperine is comfortable.
Your alls mileage may vary but thats just what I have experienced. I will have a standard DF and another Ranger RD9 coming this week and I hope to get them out and throw them at my fav 4. I have other choppers but these 4 have seen the most use and the most of my carrying time.
Cobalt if you dont have a DFLE I suggest you get one and try it, I really like it. Part of me says "darn i wish this dude was INFI cuz I might have the perfect all around chopper"
