I'm using a chopper I made to do some cutting on the mountain I live on. The knife in the video is made from .360" thick 5160 steel and is my shop knife, I use it for all sorts of heavy duty work around my place. Check it out!

Nice work... but what is that white stuff I see falling f/the sky? Ha... (been a really mild and usually warm 'winter' here in OK)

How about some still pics of that knife? Looks like a REALLY useful blade shape and overall size!

after my own heart, you are

Thanks! That is some late snow isn't it! Here at 7500 feet it snowed all day and only 10 miles away it was nearly 80 degrees.

Here's an old photo, I made this knife nearly a year ago and had only been making knives for a few months when I completed it. It's only about a foot long, at the time it was the biggest knife I could fit in my kiln. The .36" thick steel gives you lots of mass yet isn't too heavy. You can generate a lot of force for such a small blade.

Here's another one of the same model I made a while back. I even made the material for the scales on this one, it is black and glows green in the dark.

I made this one about six months ago, it has a longer blade.

That bottom knife is mine I bought from Daniel. Let me just say his craftsmanship is second to none!!!It is a true hard use knife.I call it the Bigcountry survival knife! There is no job I can not do with this knife!!!!!

Thanks BigCountry! :D

Sounds like Dimmu playing in the beginning of the first video?
Close, Cradle of Filth! They rock...

Looks like a big Zero-Convex edge on these... and that's my favorite blade 'edge' especially on a large/thick blade. They cut like crazy and the edge holds up quite well (assuming a proper heat treat obviously) :)
