Had to try out my new Swamp Rat Custom Shop M9, with its full height flat grind blade, made from SR-101. Did bring my Basic-9 too, with its Mod.-Infi blade with asymetrical edge (slightly convexed on one side).
They both chopps very well, with no significant diffrence in performance. The M9 with its full height flat grind, did bite like a razor, with a lound "chunk" on every stroke. The Basic-9 chopps more like a small axe, but with the same power as the M9.
Having plans on an old school style leather sheath, on the M9 (without belt loop), like they used on the bowies years ago...

Dont you Hogs forget about the Rats...

Enjoy...:D

Great pics!

M9 is a good looking blade, and what can be said about the B9 that hasn't been said already? Truly a classic.

Cool pics. The M9 does have it's own unique feel, doesn't it? Very nimble and yet still chops great. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, the M9 do have it`s own unique feel; not front heavy like most choppers (balance point at the choil), but still chopps very well. More like a modern day version of a large bowie...

I love pictures of Busse (and Kin) in action. Its neat to see pictures of safe queens too, but nothing beats seeing them do what they're made for.

The fact that you actually used them for something other than staging pictures to post on the interwebs adds a high degree of cool factor, IMO.
