didn't take any non knife related pics of this hike since it's the same one i always go on (due to lack of people) and you've all seen it over 9000 times

this was the perfect knife to take. with the snow finally gone, the trail was rather overgrown. due to it's light weight, it's damn good at clearing brush

and it's a damn fine chopper too

one cut

did this with the FBM last time in 70 chops

took 85 with the ZTBM. sure bites deep though with that thin edge

and after a lot of chopping it still shaves easily

this knife compares closely in feel with the Mofo. it's light but cuts and chops well. both have a more forward balance. the ZTBM has a bit of an advantage with a longer blade and slightly more forward balance though. i've definitely found my new favorite knife.

haven't seen many (any?) pics of people using their Busse ZTs . . . they're damn fine users. bah, i say, to you collectors hoarding these

What 9000!?

That ZTBM is one of my favorites - would love to get my hands on one if they weren't so expensive due to the collecting. I've got a soft spot for thinner big blades - as you said, they can bite really deep. I don't do THAT much prying with my bigger knives, so thin can be a big advantage. They handle a bit more like a machete and a bit less like a baseball bat

Great pics of a great knife

That is a really awesome BM. I would love to have one of those because I has a BMe but I like satin blades better so I got rid of it. But I love the ergo handles. That was a hard one to pass on in the XC too.

Thanks for the great pics of a great blade in action!!!!

But I love the ergo handles.

yeah. it has a surprising amount of bite to it, but it's easier than many other handles to keep it in one place, whereas with most other handles during chopping my hand migrates all the way to the back
