I just got my chopweiler thanks to RussMo. It has been a long journey from Alaska to Bosnia but it's finally here.

What to say... I am truly impressed by this blade! The workmanship is amazing, the handle feels really good and the knife is shaving sharp! Can't wait to try it out!

I now understand the addiction of you guys for the knifes from the Bussekin family :D

CongRats!! and welcome to the sickness! :D

Pics when you can!

Bosnia, wow, that is a well traveled blade

CongRATulations, the Chopweiler has became my favorite large Rat.

Ian.

Thanks guys,

here are a few pictures from last WE in the mountain. Just spent one day there so no real need to chop anything but I tried the knife anyway. The handle definitely feels good!

The chopweiler is so scary that this fir tree shrunk as soon as I took the knife out of its tactical cardboard sheath... :D

Another picture with my usual EDC, Spyderco Barong.

And finally the wife thought that it was sort of weird that I was taking pictures of the knife alone so she decided to take one of me. As I don't want to scare anyone here, I will not show my face :D

Cheers!

I bought my Chopweiler just a month or two ago from these very forums. Impressed with the knive overall. One small complaint - the edge looked very 'mass produced' like a kabar finish. Not what I would expect from a knife made in such limited runs.

Congrats on your new chopweiler. Thats one cool knife i just got my first Rat also its a Ratweiler, are you going to get a big Rat chopper next.

Hey, thanks Doug!
As you know I would like a big blade next, a big Rat why not but I am drooling for a couple of month on the NMFBM and the gladius. I think I will try to get the latter first.

Edit: I have a question, you can see here that the third fasterner is missing. No big deal (the scale is only slightly off) but I was wondering if there is something I can do about it? Such as ordering one directly from SW? Thanks!

Thats kind of weird is there some tube down in that last tang hole. Or is it not there at all? That knife looks brand new. Anyway Eric here on the forum i'm sure could help you out and answer all your questions. Maybe Pm Eric with your questions bro. ;)

Doug,

Thanks for the advice Doug. The tube is here and the other side is fine, it's just this side. The knife is brand new indeed and it's only a minor issue so I am not sure I am going to bother Eric with this :)
