Stopped by the Portland Knife shop.

What a breath taking selection.
The owner was kind enough to let me try out a variety of water stones.
I've really only used cheap king stones.
It was time to see if Chosera stones were all hype.
My gawd.
No pics of the green 400, or 800 sorry.
I used a 400 grit Chosera on my 940-1 in s90v.
Ate it up like butter.
!!!!!
They were
Splash and go and produce very little slurry mud.
They were
Lapped with a Norton flatting stone.
Which works great.
Next up was a 800 Chosera
Which was just as lovely as the 400grit.
Next was the 3k
Wow

Then the 5k

The 5k was a very thirsty stone.
It didn't behave like the others.
Lastly
The legendary "snow white" 8k

What a dream to use.

I'm In love with Chosera stones.
One day I hope to own the 400, 800, and 3000 maybe even the 8k snow white for giggs and shiggles.
I have to give a tour of the shop in the future. What an amazing place.
