Choseras for WEPS question

I haven't seen much here on the Choseras for the Wicked Edge. Does anybody have them? Is the whole progression necessary? If not, what combination is recommended to save some money but still get excellent results?

IIRC there are Chosera stones available direct from Wicked edge. What stones do have now?

I was wondering if the 400/600 and 2000/3000 would be enough? I could finish with the WE ceramics (I have those). Is 600 to 2000 too much of a gap?

Yup, I have them and they work great. If you also have the WE ceramic stones, you really only need the 5K/10K Choseras to get a mirror edge.

Most people would probably advise you to get the 2K/3K stones, but I found that overkill (same grit rating as the 1200/1600 ceramic stones). If you only have the diamond stones (up to 1K), you definitely need the 2K/3K stones as well.
 
The 400, 800, and 3000 Chosera is the best option for most cutlery. It's the stones recommended by Naniwa.
 
Can't answer your question, but wanted to mention,,, you may want to contact Josh (razoredgeknives) or maybe he'll weigh in... I think he switched from Choseras to the diamond films. With the results he gets, it might be something worth looking into?
