chris caine knives

Someone recommended I check t these knives. They say they are made of 75 carbon steel with a hardness of 56-58 ....Is that the same as 1075 (the stuff Condor uses iirc)
If so $210 (USD) seems a bit high for such a mediocre steel???

The guys famous and is going to be able to command a higher price for his knives. I would check out WC Knives, just google for him. Some of his knives look familiar to Chris Caine's stuff and he does custom orders.
