I've seen a fair selection of decorated Sebenzas, both in person and on the Net And I've seen color-anodized decorated titanium by some other good knife makers. I can't think of anybody, off the top of my head, in a mid to thigh three-digit price range, whose treatment of a titanium slab is nearly as good as CRK's, in artistic vision or in precise execution.
This is first-class contemporary abstract art on a small "canvas," that I think has value in and of itself, apart from the useful tool that it dresses up. So ... has Chris Reeve ever thought of producing titanium jewelry - pendants and such?
Here's a decorated small Sebenza. Getting the pearl to come out anyting other than featureless glare took a few tries. The scanner sees sharp shadows in the incisions that aren't there to the human eye.
And here's a section of the Trailing Moon standard pattern, scanned at very high resolution for anybody who wants knifely "wallpaper" on screen without scaring everybody else in the office.
