Just curious what the general community thought of the different finishes that come with spefific CRK knife editions....I personally go for the Stonewash, not big on the satin ground and partially 'stonewashed' that come on many Graphics and I think all the LE's- I'm assuming you can't get an LE with pure stonewashed blade...anyone know for sure.....every little finger print shows on those. Anyone have an opinion?

CRK does not bead blast any of their blades, they are stonewashed, but I agree I like the stonewashed blades a lot better than the satin blades.

The high Shine of the old ATS blades were nice until you used it! I like the stone wash blades but I wish stone wash was a handle option.

My "collectors" (aka safe queens) are all polished blades. My EDC's and users are all stonewashed because they don't show wear as easily.

I like them both. I also think that CRK has the nicest stone washed blades i've seen.

+2.

I love the stonewash finish but like the look of the polished 21 I have. I haven't given it any serious use though, so once it gets scratched it will probably be a bit fugly.

Nice thoughts....I guess if it's a more collector piece, the blade won't be used, so the non-stonwash or even polished would be nice...but I could never have a knife I couldn't use- even if my knife was made of gold, I would need to use it- I like age & patina (I'm an antiques dealer)...so stonewashed would always be my choice-since it would always need to look it's best in use- thanks for all those inputs.

Whatever you decide to get, you are required to post pix. It's in the rules . . . trust me!

For 27 bucks, CRK will stonewash a polished blade. (But they will not polish a stonewashed blade.)
