So I was perusing thew small e internet looking to score some Flourinated grease for my new small seb:D...I found some in stock on bladehq but it says christo-lube flourinated grease, is this the same stuff that they sell on the Chris Reeve site?

Yes, it's the same

Well, almost the same. CRK has a little formulation tweak they've done to the mixture specifically for the use on titanium. Since very few of us are as particular as Chris is about performance, I'd doubt there any differences that would be noticeable to most users. For $11, I'd pick the CRK grease. One tube will last you a LONG time.

"christo-lube" is trademarked. While I don't have the syringe in front of me, I believe the CRK ingredients state "christo-lube". Call me a curmudgeon, but I'm doubting the "tweaked" comment. And if tweaked, then the ingredients lie. [Nevertheless, I highly respect Steve -- and I'm not looking for a p!ssing contest]

I use the stuff for scuba regulator maintenance since it stands up to saturation conditions, edible and high O2 mixes (no one likes fires underwater).

Since the washers don't spin on the titanium (the blade spins on the washers), why change the lube to work better with titanium?

I say go for the cheaper one and I think that would be the CRK (christo-lube) one.

John, you're a curmudgeon :p

I hope you know that I'm kidding. In my mind, skepticism is a necessary part of understanding. I was of the opinion that the CRK grease was a repackaged product until Chris posted in this thread.
