I picked up a new blade last week, the Chris Reeve Freyja. Only 55 were made in 2005. I have never seen one for sale the last couple of years so I sold off some of my one piece collection to add this one. The price in 2005 was $700.00 so it was one of the more expensive one piece knives that they ever manufactured. The blade in 9 inches long and sharpened on the top and bottom edge. It is pretty cool.

Wow, nice pick up Tom! I actually never seen/heard of a Freyja. Wicked looking blade!

That is excellent. I had the chance to purchase one back then and I passed on it. The foolish things we do.

Thanks for your feedback. It is a interesting knife with two different grinds. My second picture isn't very good but if you look close you can see the double hollow grind and then it switches to a convex grind about three inches from the tip.

That is a very cool knife, congratulations indeed on acquiring that one. :)

That is a quite unusual grind, it's also used a lot by Kikuo Matsuda and is seen on a few of his knives.

that is an awesome blade. thanks for posting up pics. always a treat to see these rareities pop up :D
