I have a Green Beret 5.5 inch knife, and used it for several camping and hiking trips. I am amazed at the quality and balance of this knife. There are cheaper tools that will get the job done, there are different designs that are amazing in their own right. I find this knife to be so perfect, for me, that I can't imagine not owning it. To think that I can use this knife to it's full potential and ay any point send it back and they will make it like new for just over 20 bucks is pretty cool too. I have read reviews that all seem to be based on that Noss guy destroying one, and haves people convinced they are not good knives....thats just dumb. If you research the testing done, and an independent panel of seasoned Green Berets that choose this knife in a blind test, the manufacturing excellence of Chris Reeves helped me decide. I have used this knife to butcher feral hogs, a million camp tasks and hiking the grand canyon, i felt very well equipped with this knife. When you consider they throw in a 80 spec op sheath, the price isnt bad for what you get. I am very satisfied, if you are on the fence get one. My first knife review, but I just love this knife.

I had the 7 inch version and was constantly amazed at it's quality and feel. Was a little too big for me to carry and wished I had bought the 5.5 inch version.
As for the reviews, if people choose some youtube celebrity over a group of special forces soldiers, it's their loss. I buy knives based on how much I like them. Not how easily you can baton through cinder blocks using a sledge hammer.

Yes thats why I got the 5.5 inch, balance was better, and it's legal to carry most places, though it might raise an eyebrow or two on sheeple.I ain't hating on that Noss dude, and I guess there is some value to what he does, like a mosquito, they probably have some purpose, but mostly just annoy you! Still have the 7'?

I love my CRK Green Beret. It is my camp building tool of choice, and when it isn't building camp it is always handy behind the seat of my truck. Great knife!!

I enjoyed your first review, thanks for sharing your opinion of it. I've kicked around the idea of getting one for a long time, even called CRK to see if they'd make me a non serrated version, unfortunately not. Ill probably get one eventually, especially if more threads like this one come up with input from people that have actually used one.

Now I need to go see if I can find a deal somewhere for one.

you can find a deal here probably, sometimes they go up for sale on here. I would like to hold the Pacific model, doesnt seem that much different. I sure like the 5.5 inch, just a handy size.

Great Review....!!! I have owned the Neil Roberts, the 5.5 GB and the Pacific. I sold the Neil Roberts as I am not really into recurves. Though I did use it in the field for clearing shooting lanes and other camp chores, the recurve thing is just a personal preference. I was left with the GB and the Pacific. After handing both, I opted to keep the pacific as I felt for the $$, it gave me more, mostly just a bigger wider blade. Handles feel the same. You can not go wrong with either. I just felt the pacific was better suited for me as a camp knife.
