I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a set of Chris Reeve Jeroboam knives. They are all serial number 2's; a 9", 6", 3" and 3" double honed. All unused and in excellent condition none with a sawback.

I am looking to find out what they are worth as a set and if anyone out there would be intrested in them.

Thank in advance

Alex

Alex - we need a bit more information! Please measure the blades more accurately because we have never made 6 or 3 inch blades. We have done 7.5, 7, 5.5 and 4 inch blades. Please also give a description of the blade shape (clip point, spear point, tanto, straight back edge with upswept blade which would be our Sable) - the #2 refers to the knife being the second made of that style, not to the style itself. Also were they made in South Africa or USA?

Hi Anne

Thanks for Getting back to me, here are the details of the Blades

The blades do indeed have a straight back edge with an upswept blade so I guess they are Sables, they are all made in South Africa with the CR logo.

The Longest from Hilt to tip is 9" with an actual blade length (sliver un-coated blade) of just a touch over seven and three quarter inches.
The next longest is 7" from hilt to tip with a actual blade length just between six and a quarter and six and a half inches.
The next is just over 4" hilt to tip with the blade measuring three and a quarter inches.
The last blade is also just over 4" hilt to tip with a double honed blade also measuring three and a quarter inches.

All the Knives are indeed the second made in this style

I Also have a singe rounded point Tanto knife made by Chris Reeves it is also the second made in that style. It measures 9" hilt to tip with a eight and three quarter inch blade. This is unfortunately the only #2 knife I have in that style.

I have double checked that the above measurements are correct.
I also have the leather sheath's for all the above knives.

I hope this can help you to further help me

Many thanks

Alex
