Are the 'jigged' inlays in the Mnandis & Sebs an aftermarket inlay or did CRK offer those?? I don't see it on their options list...curious....

Chris Reeve Jigged inlays

HI. I've been to Chris Reeves shop/factory in Idaho, and was showing him some burl wood. He showed me how he likes his wood (Perfect) and has 8 CNC mills/lathes/cutters, preprogramed to cut out his scales/inlays. EX: He takes a 5x 1/2 x 1 block just to get a 1 1/2 x 3/4ths x 3/8ths inlay/slab. I don't know why he would farm out any work, as he is Very very picky about just the wood let alone every detail in his work. enjoy edgy.:thumbup:

Yep -- Jigged Rosewood is the only variety I have seen too (traded this J.R. Mnandi recently):
