James, your Area 51 scan looks almost exactly like my favorite airplane, the SR-71 Blackbird, still the fastest and highest-flying thing going with the possible exception of "Aurora". A friend who was on the Libyan desk at the State Department in the '80s told me about an incident when an SR-71 was chased by 2 MiG-25 Foxbats. The Foxbats couldn't even come near the SR-71, which was loafing along.

So ... Why do you think Area 51 was such a deep dark secret place? Among other things, they were building Blackbirds there! My father in law was a machinist working for Lockheed there. He would travel from time to time to "The Area" and never said where that was or what he was doing until it became unclassified knowledge. And he never saw any space aliens or other unusual invasions, except for a bunch of frogs after a heavy rain.
