This is a large damascus sebenza with Spanish Treasure from the 1715 Fleet with coin inlay. New In Box perfect condition. This is a unique, and very limited offering from Plaza Cutlery, and Chris Reeve Knives. The knife is ground smooth, and each knife was custom cut to inlay the Spanish Cobb in the handle. As these early coins were hand struck, each one varies in shape. In later years the sizes became more refined. This silver cob is from the Spanish Treasure Fleet of 1715 that sank in a hurricane off the East coast of Florida. The records are still available, so we know there were 12 ships carrying treasure that went down with about 1,000 hands lost. This cob is from the Mexico City mint, and is a 4 Regal. Twice the size as the 2 real, and an interesting shape. Also heavier! Price is 950.00 pay pal gift or other certified funds. Shipping is free in the US. Will sell out of the US but the buyer payes for all shipping fees and accepts all risks. CHRIS REEVE ANNUALS WELCOME FOR TRADES

I do not know, Plaza Cutlery might be able to answer since he collects those shipwreck coins

Am I correct that the coin is an actual silver coin from the shipwreck or is it a copy of some sort ?

Hate to intrude on this thread, but I believe it is the real deal. I think the pricing of the knife reflects this.

Time for a SALE $825.00 pay pal gift or other certified funds. Buyer pays 10.00 shipping in the US. I paid $950.00 plus shipping from Plaza Cutlery New In Box, perfect condition, never handled. Or will trade for other Chris Reeve knives. Will sell overseas but buyer assumes all risk
