I'm in the process of purchasing a Mountaineer 1 for $205. Does anyone have further information of why they are no longer made. Was there a recall?
Does anyone own a Chris Reeve Mountaineer 1, any thoughts?
I'm new to the forum due in part of my intent to purchase a high dollar fixed blade. I researched for hours on the best one, and it appears the Chris Reeves knives had a good reputation. I did see the U-Tube knife test and don't think any precision knife will hold up to a sledge hammer. I owned cheap fixed blades and they are tough, but a b. to sharpen.
