I need help here. My Sebenza's blade is coming loose. All I did was clean it and then put the Chris Reeve grease on. This is my first time taking the knife apart and I watched a video on how to do it while I did it. Also when the blade opens, it starts off easy and then gets real tight. Not so tight that I can't do it with one hand but still much tighter than before. I don't know what I did and I was hoping that if someone else knew they could help me out. Thanks, Wes

Well I don't know what the problem was but I took it apart and put it back together twice and then it was fine. Thanks for your reply.

Did you do it as described by CRK?

Taking only the pivot screw and bushing out, then removing the blade?

When reinserting did you put the large washer on the thumb stud side, the small washer on the lockbar side?

Did you tighten all screws before reinserting the blade?

Some of these seem small, but all matter. I'm particularly wondering about your washer placement.

Don't get discouraged! Keep trying and if all else fails send her to Idaho

Well just noticed your all good while I was posting. Gonna post it anyway because I took the time to type it on this *#@+*%@ touch screen phone!:D

make sure your washers are on the right side too(not sure if that affects a loose blade though)

Yeah, it sounds like a washer issue, since the blade was solid before you took it apart.

It was the washer they were in the right places but for some reason didn't lay flat like someone above posted. Thanks for all the replies!

I've found it is not uncommon to have to reassemble the knife once or twice before everything is correctly in it's place.
