Hi guys I dont get around to visit much but I have abig problem i have arealy realy big birthday coming up this month and my dear wife has offered to buy me the knife of my choice up to 500 bucks.This should indicate how big this bd realy is!!!!!! the problem I dont know what to buy however I have been giving serious consideration to Chris Reeves sebenza,any feed back pro or con would be greatly appreciated along with any other suggestions Thanks guys

Go for the Sebe without any doubts. You will love it! Buy once,cry once.
 
Go with a Sebenza, maybe find a unique graphic that holds a meaning to you. I went with a Pheasant Tail because I enjoy fly fishing. It has been my EDC for several years and I have no regrets about buying it other than not doing so sooner. Hope you have a great birthday !

I have tried knives twice and three times its cost, and I prefer the Sebenza.
 
I celebrated my first SS retirement disbursement by buying my first CR knife - a Wilson Combat/CRK 'StarTac' Umnumzaan. Seemed reasonable - it would be my most expensive pocket knife - ever. Note, however, I said first. In the next ten months, I found a way to add a new fb Nyala and a small plain Sebbie in S35VN. They are fine knives - begging to be used. Be forewarned... they like to have siblings!

I'm no fanboy of any one knife company, and like several, as well as customs.

But if I didn't have Sebenza's, and had to pick a knife for my birthday it would be a Sebenza for sure.

Now you will have to decide if you want the large or small, and which model. That will be tough, just go with the one you like. For me, I prefer the plain, or the Micarta inlay models.
 
I bought an Umnum a month ago with the thoughts of...that's a lot of money...I was so impressed I bought a Sebenza last week. Now, the question I ask myself. "Why the heck did I wait so long?" They are incredible knives you will not be disappointed.

If it makes you happy, go for it! Personally, im going for a Ninja ZX14 when I hit 50 in 3 years...

Anyways, Get A Sebenza Or Umnumzaan.
Or If You're Into Striders You Could Try That Out.

Or Maybe Even A Lionsteel SR-1.
