Hi everyone,


I’d like to get some input on the current market value of a Chris Reeve Shadow IV.
  • Condition: unused, never sharpened, excellent overall
  • Comes with kydex sheath (no box)
  • No modifications or wear

just curious about what a fair price range might be for this model nowadays
Any insights from those who follow the CRK fixed blade market would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
 
As stated above, you're not allowed to ask for valuations without a paid membership.

If you choose to pay, you'd likely have better luck asking about this in the CRK forum.

Without any description and based on the pictures alone, I would guess that the knife has been sharpened, but maybe it is just lighting. There are also three vertical lines in the finish below the logo, though maybe those would wipe off, and a possible horizontal scratch right above the bevel on the opposite side. These small details will be important if you're looking to obtain a realistic value for what is most likely a knife that would be purchased by a collector. Great condition for sure, but saying no wear might be a stretch. Aftermarket sheath only and no box/docs definitely detracts from the value.

Maybe someone will come along to correct me, but I don't think CRK one-piece knives ever came with a kydex factory sheath, there does appear to be some (minimal) wear, and if judging off pics alone I'd guess it has been sharpened as well.
