This is my favorite Small "Regular" Sebenza. It's just a Plain Jane version of what to many is the best design to come out of CRK. The "New Design" as it was called back in 1996 when it was first introduced or as it is now called the "Regular". Another one I have had a while but for some reason never took the time to photograph... hmmm it was that our cut the grass. :D
Hmm and then I discovered that I had in fact already photographed it.. still didn't cut the grass!!
And as always thank you for looking and commenting on my long boring threads!!
All the best, Dave

And again just for fun here is its slightly younger "Decorated" brother.

Thats really cool.

the age of the knife and the un-refinedness of the knife interests me.

Dose it have a bushing ?

I never get tired of looking at these old plain ones Dave or the stories you have for them.

Thanks for posting them.

Thanks plastid!! Yes indeed it does. Here is an explanation:
"When the blade, bushing and washers are inserted between the frame, and the pivot tightened, the bushing is held ridgid between the frame so it does not move. The blade then rotates around the pivot with just enough clearance on each side to allow the blade to rotate between the washers, but not enough to allow blade side play. You will appreciate these very close tolerances in the Sebenza and this is why the blade has a more "hydraulic" feel when opening and closing. Kind of a bank vault effect so to speak. I hope this helps and that I have not made this seem overly complicated."I hope this answers your question.
All the best, Dave

Very nice Dave. I can't say it enough, your collection amazes me. You are one lucky man.

Again many thanks my Friend!! It gives me a warm fuzzy filling to hear that!! Reminiscent of Chris Matthews.. and his strange attraction to BOB...
Seriously, thank you my friend!!
P.S. I just picked up a case of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies.. better build a bigger dog house!!

Those are an awesome pair Dave!!! Thanks for sharing, I really love the older graphic Sebenza's.

If you let me hold one of those older one's I will come by and cut the grass for you...;)

Take care Brother...

LOL LOL Thanks for the offer Andre.. but to be honest I already have a Gardner. I would hate to have to contribute to the already high unemployment rate by letting him go!! But hey we both live in the former Golden State.. maybe we need a CRK convention of some sort??
All the best, Dave
