I sent my lrg regular in s30v in for repair..
My edge was chipping and the lock was at 90% new or more..
They fixed niether issue..
Did they say why?
I remember you mentioning those issues in another thread a while back.
And yes, I was very polite.
They said I could send it in again if I wanted.. They resharpened the blade.. But did not even get the small chips out..I even offered to pay if there was any charge..No charge.. And they left the lock up the same...
I gave up after that.. none of my questions were answered.. And I did a better job of properly fixing the knife myself..
I think the quality of the knives is amazing... Just not the CS for me..

amazing-from what ive collected there's horror stories for EVERY company-that's quite a shame

I sent a knife in for sharpening after about five years of use and they replaced the locking scale because the lock-up didn't feel right to Chris. They even re-engraved it for me.
I have MANY Chris Reeve Knives and have only had a couple problems.
I had a Small Vines Sebbie I bought pre owned. After awhile, it seemed to work loose and the blade developed wobble. I took it apart and realized the previous owner assembled it wrong because the bronze washer was not properly placed. After I reassembled it, it was like new. I was sending in a sebbie for engraving and Heather told me to send it in too so they could check it out to be sure. They re heat treated the lockbar. I did not think anything was wrong, but they said it was not up to spec. ( I believe if it was damaged, it was due to the previous owners improper assembly. )
I had a blade break on a sebenza. Chris called me himself and explained everything to me and taked to me about 1/2 hour about knives they were coming out with and about my growing collection, but most of all, he wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I wished I lived closer so I could have the honor of shaking his hand.
From my standpoint, there is NO Better Customer Service in the Knife Industry than Chris Reeve Knives. You cant even get the owner of your local grocery store to give you the time of day with an issue and here is The Owner of a Major Knife Company calling little old me. To me, that shows how much they care about my satisifaction. I am in the process of selling most of my other knives and purchasing strictly Chris Reeve Knives. They Have A Fan & Supporter For Life Here !!!
