I was on a west coast fall motorcycle trip this week so on my way home decided to go through Boise and stop in at the Chris Reeve manufacturing headquarters for a tour. If you’re ever in the area, it’s definitely worth the time. Really cool experience.

Really nice!

Anybody ever get to look around the Buck works, Kershaw, Benchmade, Randalls or any other well known maker's operation?

Been to Randall factory about 20 years ago. Was even able to buy a knife directly from them with no wait, they had just got back from a show. They didn't want you on the factory floor if a remember directly.

My wife and I took the Buck factory tour recently and very much enjoyed it. It is a guided tour using wireless headphones. It is fairly noisy in some places but we could still hear the guide. You walk the entire factory floor and see every stage of production. We especially liked the heat treat part of the tour. Afterwards we bought a few knives in their storefront.

That’s an awesome experience! What a nice looking building and manufacturing floor.
