Hello.

New here on the forums!

I have come across a Chris Reeves large Sebenza with a tanto tip. There is something that has me thinking if the knife is authentic or not, first of all how commen is the tanto? And does the CRK Sebenza come with dubble thumb studs?

Or is there any other way that would reveal it?

Thank you reading!

The CRK tantos are a dealer exclusive but they are not exactly chicken lips in the rarety department, they also can be commonly found with double studs. A picture would help massively here though of course. :)

Thanks for the reply, the pictures from the ad was terrible. Trying to get the seller to send me some pictures of the knife and box. If he does i can post them.

Tanto sebenzas are pretty nice. I have had Tanto CRK in the large regulars, 21's, zaan, and the one piece knives. They make great slicers. And the tips are super strong.

The seller sent me some pictures now. Its clearly an authentic CRK tanto.

I really was not looking for a Sebenza, but if the price gets right i just might get it.

nyefmaker , been looking at some youtube review`s of it. How is the action for someone who likes fast flippin`knives?

True North Knives sells CRK Tantos with double studs.

Thanks.

Looks like ill let it pass. Asking 430.. (Keep in mind the price is higher due to its in Norway. VAT fees etc..)

Still a bit much since a new one would run me like 550..

If you like "fast flippin knives", then I'd say look elsewhere. CRK's open very smoothly, but they're not designed to be flipped or flicked. And that's from Chris himself.

The action is the same as any other sebenza. Has that classic Sebenza hydraulic feel.

Keep an eye out. I sold a near mint one for $375. $430 is a bit much imho.

I just got used to flipping I suppose. But with the looks of these knives, and as I hear very smooth opening. Thinking I would enjoy these a lot as well.

nyefmaker, the import tax alone is +25% on the price of 410 dollars.. So these are a bit pricy here. But i think i should keep an eye out here and on the secondhand market. Maybe I`ll come across something I like..

I was hoping for a Strider PT or a Small Sebenza, before i found this one yesterday.
