Hello all

I am considering the purchase of this knife.

Will be an all around user. But will be considered my sole fixed blade on SAR Missions. (mainland) U.S.A.

Any opinions ??

Thanks, lee

this would be great to ask in the Chris Reeve Knives forum here under Manufacturer's Forums.

i don't have the ubejane, but i have a Mountaineer I, and in my opinion, any CRK knife you choose will be awesome.

Thanks,

But i avoided that forum for fear of the "OH YEAH" syndrom.

To ask, is a Chris Reeves knife OK,, on a Chris Reeves forum ?? Well, ya know what i mean.

Thanks,lee

haha yeah i get what you mean. i will tell you that i have never heard a single bad experience with CR knives. and if there is one, i'm sure the customer service would be excellent.

are you considering anything else or are you set on this knife? you will get a ton of suggestions if you say the magic words.

you would be hard pressed to find any negative comments on any of the one piece line.

very strong, good steel, sharp, and the guncoat is very durable. also comes with a pretty nice sheath.

ah yes, the rsk mk3 is also a great knife, but i don't have one of those. the other brand i'm thinking is Fallkniven. i can't help but suggest taking a look at those if you haven't already.

I have a reeve skinner. I havent used it much but I think it would work well for what you described. Its heavier than it looks in the pics very solid
