Has anyone ever handled any of the Chris Reeves Fixed Blade line?

I see they have the Green Beret line which comes in 5" of 7" models, has CPM S35VN steel and a KG Gun-kote on the blade.

They also have a Pacific line which seems to be exactly the same as the Green Beret spec wise.

I have always been a big Chris Reeves fan and I love my Umnumzaan but I just can't see paying 300+ rough and tough fixed blade! Also the CPM S35VN steel doesn't seem like it would be the best to baton of chop with, in my experince even S30V can chip.

Has anyone ever used one of these side to side with any BK models? I just have a feeling that it won't hold up as well as a BK2 or BK7.

My guess is BK2 & BK7 > CRK Beret & Pacific

(Sorry if this thread has been done, I didn't see one when I did a quick search.)

Who wants to see 2 old guys fight?

Now, young, firm women and Jello, call me, I'll watch.

There is really nothing to fight over, Chris Reeve knives Awesome, Becker knives just as Awesome. I'm trying to understand the question, you can not compare 1095 steel to S35V, not going to happen two different animals. Price is a personal thing, no one can tell you what and how much to spend. I personally own and love both Becker and Chris Reeve Knives but if I were going to compare I would compare the A2 line of Chris reeve knives with the Becker 1095 and if I did compare I would say they're both very competent knives that would any owner proud. They are completely different in styling but will both get the job done, I know I've used both.

If I wasn't a dumbass this is what I would've said.

To he honest I was just thinking out loud!

Was just wondering if people used them, and how they liked them!

You want me to do a comparison review between the bk7 and 5.5" s30v GB?

Match up doesn't make much sense but it can be fun anyway.

Apples and Oranges. The closest things to Beckers in terms of design, material, and usability are probably ESEEs....Which I think are nice knives but dont care for because they come pre-customized. There is no competition for what Beckers are...great designed knives with 100 ways to customize.
