I was browsing the net and happened across this site, http://www.christianfletcher.com and they have a little something from Del Tin in stock that I've been trying to find for a LONG time.
I sent them an email with several questions and promptly received a VERY informative reply and my feeling for them is good, but I'm a little reluctant to ship off the credit card numbers to a place I'd never heard of before.
Has anyone else dealt with these folks?
Thumbs up or down?

I do not have direct experience with the company, as he does not deal in my area of swords, but that's okay, and I have heard NOTHING but good about him. Perhaps someone will come and confirm this positive rating with personal experience.

Ken,

I have ordered items from Christian a number of times and had no problems at all. He custom made a scabbard for a Del Tin Hand and a Half sword I ordered from him and got it sharpened as well. The sword came when he said it would and the work done was excellent. I also have a couple of pieces of armor that he made, and again, the workmanship was excellent, as was his service.

Hello,

Christian is great to do bus. with (and spar;-). I purchased two Del Tin swords & custom scabords from him- really good customer service btw. He's great at sword sharpening too.

I'd purchase a TinkerBlade before I'd buy a DelTin (or MRL from HankR- great guy, bad Indian swords).

I'll NEVER purchase another DT as their blades are good but their tangs/handles/guards are far too weak for test cutting or sparring use. I've seen too many fail.

Thrust true,

Brian Jones

Thanks all!
That's good enough for me!

Pakyon, I was wondering if you could give us some more detail on your experience with failing Del tins? I am not doubting you by any means, it is just that this is the first time that I have heard this. Most of the time Del Tins are highly recommended.
